Classic Tetris World Championships Finals

The Classic Tetris World Championship, a prestigious video game competition series, is proudly hosted by Socal Gaming Expo. This renowned competition debuted in 2010 while filming Ecstasy of Order: The Tetris Masters, is a platform to crown the world's greatest Tetris player.

Prepare to be thrilled as this year's event will feature a stellar lineup of top players from around the world, including past champions such as the defending champion Fractal161, EricICX, and the 2020/2021 champion dogplayingtetris (among many other amazing players)!

For those planning to register for CTWC, please note that a ticket to SoCal Gaming Expo (SCGE) is also required for Saturday and Sunday.

2024 Tetris Event Registration
  • CTWC players who have registered for Tetris get free entrance on Friday
  • CTWC players need weekend passes to attend Saturday and Sunday
  • CTWC friends/family/fans that have purchased a weekend pass for Saturday and Sunday to SoCal Gaming Expo that are NOT going to be qualifying will need to purchase the Friday pass in addition if they would like to attend Friday's qualifying and special event.
  • (Note: we are very limited on Friday Spectator Only tickets so get them while you can, this event is likely to sell out)
  • A Weekend Pass does not give access to Friday unless you are registered for Tetris. A Friday Spectator Only Pass is required to attend Friday

CTWC SCHEDULE

Friday Qualifying / Special Event:

  • 10:00 AM - CTWC Opens in SCGE Ballroom
  • 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM - Qualifying Time Slot 1
  • 1:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Qualifying Time Slot 2
  • 3:30 AM - 5:30 PM - Qualifying Time Slot 3
  • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM- Special Event

Saturday Qualifying / Bracket Begins:

  • 9:00 AM - SCGE Ballroom opens for staff and players qualifying
  • 9:30 AM - Saturday qualifying slots (limited to special requests)
  • 10:00 AM - SCGE Opens to the Public
  • 11:45 AM - Qualifying ends. Brackets get filled
  • 12:00 PM - Class photos of all Brackets in their area
  • 12:30 PM - Bracket Play begins for all tournaments 
  • 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM - Finish (Gold Bracket down to 16, Silver and Bronze close to finished)
  • 8:00 PM - SCGE Closes

Sunday Brackets & Finals:

  • 10:00 AM - SCGE Opens to the Public
  • 10:30 AM - Gold Top 16 Photo / Tetris Anthem - Silver and Bronze begin if not completed
  • 11:00 AM - Top 16 Gold
  • 1:00 PM - Top 8 Gold
  • 2:30 PM - Top 4 Gold
  • 4:00 PM - FINALS BEGIN
  • 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Finish
