At SoCal Gaming Expo, Magic: The Gathering enthusiasts can immerse themselves in the excitement of both Limited and Commander tournaments.
The Limited tournaments offer a dynamic and strategic gameplay experience, where participants build decks on the fly from freshly opened booster packs, testing their adaptability and deck-building prowess.
Meanwhile, the Commander tournaments celebrate the multiplayer format's social and creative aspects, where players wield unique 100-card singleton decks led by a legendary creature, fostering epic and unpredictable battles.
These events at the Expo provide a vibrant community atmosphere, allowing players of all skill levels to connect, compete, and share their passion for Magic: The Gathering.
Sign-ups for Tournaments: 10 am - 12 pm Sat & Sun
Tournament Start Times: 1 pm and go on all day till close

In addition to the Main Events below, there will be Free Mini Events with prizes for the first-place group of four players (minimum) in all formats.
Card sleeves and mats will not be provided for events, so please bring your own.
Saturday (Main Events)
Modern Horizon III (MH3) Commander Tournament
- Main tournament event will be Commander for an up coming MH3 commander deck to 1st as well as prizing for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place - minimum of 8 players
$15 Event Fee - No Proxy Card and no CEDH decks
Magic the Gathering Limited / Draft Tournament
- Will consist of 3 booster packs of the newest set to make a 40 card mini deck. Any cards not used will be part of your sideboard card sleeves. Mats will not be provided for this event. Minimum of 8 players prizing for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place
$15 Event Fee
Sunday (Main Events)
Magic the Gathering Commander (proxy card allowed event)
- The main tournament event will be commander for prizing to 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place proxy cards will be allowed in decks minimum of 8 players 5$
$5 Event Fee
Magic the Gathering Chaos Limited / Draft Tournament

YUGIOH Tournaments
Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments at SoCal Gaming Expo are a highlight for fans of the iconic trading card game. These competitions attract a diverse group of duelists, ranging from seasoned veterans to enthusiastic newcomers, all eager to showcase their skills and strategies.
