Media Pass Guidelines
Only professional members of the press qualify for complimentary registration. That determination will be made solely by SoCal Gaming Expo, and at its discretion, SoCal Gaming Expo reserves the right to offer or restrict Media Passes on a case-by-case basis. Media Passes are available to editorial staff writers employed by a trade publication, mainstream media outlet (newspaper, radio, TV, etc.), or online magazines. Freelance writers, podcasters, photographers, videographers, contributing editors, or bloggers may request press passes if covering for a specific publication or topic-related article.
Members of the press who are working with complimentary credentials are prohibited from soliciting business from sponsors, speakers or attendees. During the convention, the press must identify themselves at all times. During sessions and when speaking with or recording or photographing SoCal Gaming Expo attendees, staff, and/or guests, press attendees shall introduce themselves and their reporting publication or affiliation before asking questions or recording audio or video.
After the conference, electronic copies of published articles must be submitted within 30 days to the SoCal Gaming Expo at lance@socalretrogamingexpo.com.
All persons, including members of the press and those attending the convention with complimentary Media Passes, must at all times comply with all SoCal Gaming Expo policies, including the Code of Conduct. SoCal Gaming Expo publishes, adheres to, and enforces a Code of Conduct, which includes clearly defined policies on anti-harassment, non-discrimination, accessibility, weapons, and illegal conduct. Violation of the Code of Conduct may result in expulsion from the event, a ban on attending future events, and/or revocation of any or all privileges or offers associated with attending SoCal Gaming Expo in any capacity.
